Let's face it, black and white is the fairy Godmother of style. It's difficult to mess up. That's the good news! The bad news is it sometimes feels lacking in creativity. Nevertheless, when I see it put together on me or anybody else, it looks polished, stylish and oh so gorgeous, so I am a huge proponent of the fairy Godmother! Some more good news - I recently saw an article in the Wall Street Journal talking about how wide leg pants are back to save our souls from our over dependency on the skinnies. They are coming back in full length, cropped, wide all the way up, all types of variations - woohoo! Step aside skinny pants. The last of the good news - you can wear white in the winter. Why not - white represents snow, frost, and of course the icing on the cake! So I'm bringing out my wide leg pants to show off how great they look, and how they make a lovely outfit for a holiday gathering, and yes - how white they are! These pants were originally from White House Black Market and I've had them a long time, they're a classic but no longer available. In this outfit, I've paired them with a slim fitting, sleeveless sweater with decorative beading. The dark color, the high neckline and the fabric is the key to winterizing the white pants. The beading really kicks the outfit up into party mode, perfect for this time of year. The clutch bag is a Chanel, another timeless classic, which I normally only use in the summer months, but looks great with this outfit in keeping with the black and white theme. The black cardigan and the shoes are wardrobe staples. The cardigan is a fine knit, so this is my dressy cover up cardigan. Oh what fun, it is to wear, something white and wide!
Have yourself a very happy day my friends Love Karen xox
