Beneath the cozy cardigan peep hints of feminine charm in the form of a lace camisole. I love how these on-trend camisoles soften the look of an otherwise tomboyish outfit. It can turn your comfiest gear into a "going out" outfit, especially if you elevate your boyfriend jeans by adding a sexy pair of heels. But for keeping it daytime, chunky booties or sneakers totally do the trick.
Camisole, I also love this one here and here // Cardigan // Cap // Blanket scarf (currently on sale $21) // Jeans // Boots (old) similar here and on sale here // Sneakers // Watch // Sunnies // Choker // Large Tote Bag (old) similar here // Leopard Print Clutch (old) similarhere and here //
As you can see, I'm a big fan of this style trend given that I have the same top in two colors! The camisole is such a versatile wardrobe staple. It's a great way to balance out your look:
Wear a smooth cup strapless bra underneath. I do this "for security reasons", it adds to the confidence factor when you know your girls are safe! It also makes the look flawless rather than having bra and cami straps getting intermingled. Also, choose a larger size to create a looser fitting camisole. Given how revealing they can be, the looser fit is more forgiving and flattering.
There are so many variations and brands to choose from, but I love this H&M Gold Label variation. I generally wear a size 4 or 6 in other brands, but H&M runs small so I have this in a size 10. It fits well, the lace trim is pretty and flirty the way it extends beyond the body of the top, and it also works under a very low neck sweater, acting as it's original purpose - an underwear garment!
So bring out your inner diva, and sport what was once considered underwear as outerwear. We're never too old to feel girly and a little naughty, right!
