Popular new stores were emerging as I was hitting my midlife. For a few years I would march on past these shops discarding them for "teenagers only". One day I decided to venture in even though I didn't have a teenager with me to use as an excuse. I braved it by myself and realized that in among the frivolous and many tiny clothes, were some pieces that were not so tiny and worked for me too. I've never looked back, and whilst I don't buy tons of clothes in these stores, I do find adorable items for fantastic prices.

It's a great way to throw in a high fashion piece to your existing wardrobe without spending a lot of money, especially if it's likely to be a style that may not last more than a season or two. Forever 21 is one of those stores I now frequent that I would not have considered a few years ago. This adorable bomber jacket is a recent purchase from there. The caveat to this is that you need to choose carefully. Many of the clothes in Forever 21 only look good on cute teenagers through twenty something year olds. But if it's an on-trend style that top designers are currently curating not just for teenagers, the chances are you will find items that are either great dupes or certainly lend themselves to a similar look. Then it's just a matter of size. The slim fitting styles are the toughest. Particularly from Forever 21, I stick with loser fitting garments. This bomber jacket is delightful, and is only $32.90. The pretty pink floral, turquoise and blue hues of the birds, and slinky satin fabric is so spring like. It's a great summer vacation jacket. I have a size medium and it fits comfortably. The sleeves are long enough to roll up the elasticated cuffs a little bit, and then push up the arm slightly to add a touch of swagger! There's plenty of room across the back, and the length is perfect sitting right on the hip. It's lined, light weight, and can be worn over a camisole, tee shirt or zipped up by itself. I've tried it out with both white jeans and blue jeans, both of which look great. I can also visualize it with a mid length pleated pink skirt (I wish I hadn't told myself that!). I've linked several different style of shoes below that would look great with this outfit, as the ones I'm wearing are currently out of stock sadly. All the shoes and clutch bags linked below displayed in black do in fact come in soft hues of pink which is why I picked them, also a good range of price points. Plus a pink bag is going to take you well into spring and summer with a variety of looks - given that pink is one of the new seasons colors and it's already March this week! These Ray-Ban sunnies feature a lot in my outfits. I've had them several years and have no doubt I'll be enjoying them for several more, they're a classic. They have a blue graduated mirrored lens with the saturation of color fading towards the bottom. Finally, I'm really into Baublebar jewelry at the moment. Their fun pieces are so on point, gorgeous colors, and also great prices. These earrings really bring out the pink statement combined with the jacket.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for reading!

This jacket is what I want to have. I want to get and be fashionable. I mean, my clothes really do mean a lot to me. If I an go and wear this jacket, then that would make me the happiest. I love the idea of wearing a jacket that is as cute as this. I want to do more things from now on. I hope that I can get this as soon as I need it, that is my wish.
