Pink is one of my favorite colors. I'm drawn to it like a magnet. Whether it be flowers, clothes, shoes or candy wrappers, if it's pink it pulls me in every time. It's a fun color to wear, and in my book any shade of pink is delightfully romantic. So what better time of year to over indulge in pink than around Valentines Day? It's the perfect excuse, and that's why I'm bringing out my vivid pink party dress.
This fit and flair style is so cute as it has pockets which seem to bring balance to the dress's otherwise extreme flirtiness. The skirt is modestly flared so it doesn't make me feel heavy in the hips and most importantly it fits me perfectly as though it were tailor made. Fit is everything. I paired it with neutral shoes although it's tempting to go for a matching pink shoe, but I think the overall look is better when your eye isn't torn between the shoes and the dress. The leopard print clutch is the unexpected main accessory in this look. I wanted to add a little sassiness so it didn't look too sweet. Jewelry is kept to a minimum, just a two string vintage pearl choker and matching earrings. Add a glamorous fur bolero or shawl and you're cold weather ready. Think glam meets edgy, wear a leather moto jacket over your shoulders and heeled shoe booties - super cute! There are so many ways to play with a pink dress. Plus, now is the time to get pink prepared... the designers are all over it. It's comeback is symbolizing more than just cute girliness, but representing strong and feminine. I love that pink is making it's own statement. For me, being strong and unapologetically feminine is core.
Be happy, wear pink!
