Even here in the Arizona desert, the weather has finally embraced winter! Now we can join the rest of the country and get sweater obsessed. Yay! Sweaters never go out of fashion. They're cozy, comfortable, chic and easy to wear. My favorite style has been the oversized sweater for the last couple of years. They're effortless, go with everything, jeans, leather pants, boots or shoes, even mid length skirts. Plus, a little over-indulgence during the holidays isn't going to show. That to me is a good investment. There is a time and place for the oversize sweater. It's not going to make a statement at the cocktail party - or perhaps it will, but not the one you were hoping for! It's a definite dress down casual look in my opinion. The best part is that it totally balances out your look when wearing any type of leggings or skinny jeans. For those of us who live in warmer climates, where bundling up with multiple layers and coats isn't always necessary, the oversize sweater can very often act as our topper to something lighter underneath. Nordstrom has a ton of oversize sweaters, some as low as $39. H&M has some great sweater styles also very inexpensive. I always pick a sweater that will give me multiple outfit variations. Aside from how I've paired the sweater in today's look, I also love wearing it with black boots, booties and heels. It also looks good with blue jeans, and white jeans too. The chunky knobbly knit is super soft and comfy. The flared sleeves, wintry pattern and fold over collar add a unique flair, and I'm clearly not the only one loving this look...neighhh!
